Randy Cruts, author of the novels, Dive into Terror and Controlled Insanity, continues to distinguish himself from the multitude of writers by consistently garnering international awards and recognition with his screenplays. Cruts retired from the naval reserve as a lieutenant commander and spent most of his career operating in the surface warfare community. Before settling back in his home state, he worked as a diver for a Louisiana commercial diving company. He now lives on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida. Some of Cruts’ diversions from writing have been traveling, hiking, scuba diving and skydiving. He holds a D-license with more than 350 jumps to his credit and is a certified private pilot.
Cruts recently resurrected his passion for surfing, a sport he pursued through high school and college. After graduating from the University of Florida, this athletic pastime led him to Hawaii where he surfed and life guarded the beaches of Oahu, fulfilling the big wave dreams of every surfer. Today, Cruts surfs off the coast of Florida’s panhandle and regularly travels to Costa Rica.
Cruts’ obsession with his stories and characters will forever sculpt his future endeavors.
